Hi Douglas,

Could you share the files here so forum experts can take a look? The video does not help debug the issue much. BTW, if possible, please refrain from typical all cap letters in your posting. It is considered yelling at people. Forum posting is like email. Mutual respect should be honored as much as possible.

Many thanks!

Johnson

This is a very rare occurrence (the files are in use for many hours before it occurs) and as demonstrated I can fix it by opening and closing the editing, so I was hoping someone had seen it before and could provide an explantation.

I have a similar problem with a circular patter feature, occasionally I have to open and close it for it to update.

I would share the files but I think would take Autodesk many hours to recreate the error in the screencast.

When it occurs again I will save the files in the faulted state and send Autodesk a copy. (this could be weeks!)

Sorry about the caps.

Douglas

I remember running into something similar long ago with door hinges, it might be thinking that the part is flipped around and needs clarification that it is still oriented correctly.

Can you dive into the part, update or save, and then return?

Other than rebuilding, updating, or Edit > Ok I don't know what would be causing that if the constraints are still correctly set.

Are the components with the broken constraints Parts, or Subassemblies? If Subassemblies, are they Flexible? If so, are any parts in the subassembly Grounded?

In my experience, the two most common causes of this sort of "phantom error" are Flexible Subassemblies with Grounded Parts, or some sort of unstable Adaptivity.
