Autocad Mechincal is flickering while Autocad Inventor is converting to dwg

Hello everybody,

I'll start at the beginning. I had a problem with Autocad Inventor and that was that converting a sketch to a dwg (run as rule) would take 2 minutes or longer. I solved this problem by openening Autocad Mechincal. The converting process goes a lot quicker now when I have Autocad Mechincal openend.

But this created an other problem. Everytime when I try to convert a drawing to a dwg file. Autocad Mechincal pops up and flickers a bunch. I can see it does all sorts of stuff with the drawings. This bother me very much because it's very distracting.

Does somebody know a fix for this?

Os: Windows 7

Product version: Autocad version 2016 premium edition.

I'm wondering if this could be your issue: https://synergiscadblog.com/2015/09/15/cursor-loses-focus-after-installing-autodesk-2016-products/ if you're using the 2016 version of the product.

This unfortunately did not fix the problem and actually caused more problems.

Do you maybe have some other ideas?

Hi! I would like to understand the behavior better. When Inventor converts Inventor drawing to AutoCAD dwg, there is no need to have AutoCAD Mechanical installed or running. So, I am not sure what you meant by AutoCAD Mechanical doing something during Inventor conversion. Do you have a separate process requiring AutoCAD Mechanical to run at the same time?

Hello,

The issue is resolved.

I got it fixed by changing some settings.
I went to "save as" and the clicked on "options". Then I changed some configurations and I works.
