How to rotate an entire part with respect to a baseline or specific line?

Hey guys,

Firstly, I want to say sorry if this is a very basic question. I've been learning the software as needed watching as many videos or reading as many forums as possible.

Well, I have a set of different parts and I need to rotate the parts exactly 45 or 90 degrees. I found a way to do it by using the Rotate at Angle Feature, but before rotating the part, I need to make sure that (see image below) the line red is exactly at 45 degrees of the blue line (that is an imaginary line I created for visual purposes).

Could anyone give me some ideas on how to do so? I would appreciate it so much.

Hi

I'm trying to understand what this is supposed to do.

Hi!

What do you mean? In drawings or in the 3D environment?

Well, you can use the cube.
If the part was design normal to the origin planes, when you click the cube face, it will be at 90º, and when you click in the cube vertices, it will be at 45º.

Hi Carlos, I think, after click in the cube vertices, it will be at 30º.

Hey guys, thanks for your quick reply. What @kacper.suchomski did is what I need to do after I make sure my red line is at 45 degrees with respect to the blue line. @CCarreiras, that is my problem; I didn't actually draw these parts. I have no idea if they were designed normal to the origin planes, so whenever I use the cube vertices it looks like 30 degrees. Don't get me wrong, I know it is pretty much useless, but it is a requirement from my advisor, and I am exhausting my chances before the next meeting or moving forward and wasting precious time.
