Custom Quick Access Toolbar

Is their a way ? i can add an shortcut for saving the drawing as PDF to QAT ?

I convert all the Drawings to PDF every time , so i know the keyboard shortcuts but still i think having an single click for this would save me time

Yes:

Go to Tools > customize

On the "Ribbon" tab select "application menu" from the first dropdown and set the target panel to something in the drawing environment. (i used Drawing / tools)

Search for the "PDF" logo in the first column and add it to the desired panel.

It will show up on that panel when you have an document where that panel is available, from there you can add it to the QAT.

Sorry to reply to such an old thread, but I'm having trouble committing the changes I've made. Every time I start a new Inventor instance the ribbon resets to the default version. I've attached an image to show the kind of changes I'm trying to make, for context.

@Anonymous I'm still on IV2021 so i don't know if it's different (or bugged) in IV2022.

I'd start by trying to see if any change will stick, so move the menu bar and then close down Inventor to see if that works.

If it doesn't i'd try the QaT customization without moving the menu bar.

When none of those change will stick then i'd suspect it could have something to do with user rights on the system.

(writing to registry and such)

Maybe @johnsonshiue can make a better suggestion?

Okay it turns out it's something like if you have multiple sessions/instances of Inventor open, whichever is closed last is the one whose changes are committed.

So each time I tried I must have had one in the background open, which I inevitably closed after the one I was actively using and customized.

Seems a little funny it would work this way, but at least it makes sense.
