Unfortunately, Inventor will not create a virtual intersection dimension involving non-linear elements. The only method I know of to do this is to create a view sketch, project the intersecting elements, and place a sketch point constrained to both. If you need the extension lines shown, you can create them in the sketch as well, changing them to the Dimension layer so they match other annotations.

Hi All,

Please see attached picture. Im looking to dimension the theoretical intersection point each end to show the dimension in blue. Each end is a curved edge as shown by the R195.0 dimensions which is throwing me.

Please could somebody explain how to get the dimension i am after?

Many thanks,

Callum

Between each line you want to dimension from, right click and pick "intersection". Take a look at the screencast

Edit: Sorry, I missed the radius at each end.

Screencast will be displayed here after you click Post.
bad3bcfc-f866-4979-b779-1d554e870f5e

Is it not just the quadrant of the R15.00 ? Not sure what you are trying to dimension.

I will try again. The point you indicate in your attached picture is not needed. The intersection of the R195 dimension and the 15mm radius is what you want. See Screencast.
