topic Using a single user parameter to dimension in different units of measurement in Inventor Forum

Hello all,

I would like to use a single user parameter to inform 2 different dimensions which each use a different unit of measurement.

EG. If parameter "x"=30, then I would like d1=30mm, and d2=30deg. I want to do this so that I can make an iLogic form to manipulate parameter "x" with a slider control, and I would like d1 and d2 to be informed by this change simultaneously, without needing to adjust each dimension separately. Does anyone have any ideas how this might be accomplished?

Thanks a lot

Jake

Hello -

You can make X a unitless parameter and use "X * 1mm" to convert it to mm. Like this:

Hope that helps!

T.0.M.
