Sheet corner connection

Hello, I have problems getting a corner connection from a sheet metal. So basically I want to join two latches. One is in a 90 degree angle and the other one is in an 45 degree angle. I'm using the corner connection feature but it doesnt add material in order to connect it. It shows me green lines as a preview that would but then if I click ok or apply its gone . So I've tried a few different dimensions and so on and the most it does it to cut something away. I'm doing the exact same thing as my professor in a tuturial did on an older version but it's just not working.

What version are you working on?

Are the latest updates installed on Inventor?

Attach here your working file and a drawing of what you need to get.

Hello, thank you for the fast response. Well its just an example to learn how the basics of the program work. I attached a picture of what if is supposed to look like and a file where I tried it.

Hi Rene,

There is a chance the Gap Size is set to too small a value. Please check it out. The attached file is in IV2020 format. Is that what you want to achieve?

The problem is most likely that you do not have any program update installed.

Now update 2024.3 has been released,

but even in 2024.2.1 everything works.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Yes that what I was trying to achieve. I opened your file and tried the exact same thing with same dimensions and it worked. So I opened a new file and changed setting to that what you showed on your image and tried again but same thing, it just doesnt work. What else did you change from standart settings?

Can't add anything else. Except of - have a look at what Relief Shape is set to in your Sheet Metal defaults DB. Mine ones are set to Tear.

Weird.. The version my professor used was a pretty old one. Thats why I thought it wouln't make a difference wich im using. I updated it anyway and now it works without changing any settings. Thank you to all for the solutions and quick replies.
