I have a very weird issue. I have an assembly with some components and we are using Vault for version management.

When I check this assembly into the Vault, some components suddenly become unresolved. These components are also available in the Vault, and I can even right-click one of these and select Component->Replace from Vault.

The index number then increases (e.g. :1 -> :2 in RP-014-200-100:2), and after checking this assembly in, the part is unresolved again.

Is anyone having the same issue? And what could be the problem and how to solve this?

And the components are only used in this assembly.

I actually see the components become unresolved and invisible the moment I go to Vault->Check in->OK

On the Vault check in window there is a check box to delete local copies when checked in. Just in case that was missed.

This could be a file version thing maybe. Are all parts/weldments/assy's saved to the latest version as used in your main assy? Is it possible you are attempting to use parts or assy's that have not been migrated or saved to the version of Inventor you are using today? Pulling at straws here, guessing on things...

Hi! I suspect this has something to do with some settings in Inventor project file and the Vault folder isn't mapped property. First, please make sure the Vault project is used and the files are stored in the Vault folder on your machine.

Many thanks!

It does not seem to work, because the files are still on my computer.

However, when I manually delete the files and then get them back from the Vault, there is still the same issue.

All the parts are made in this version of Inventor.

And most of the parts in the assembly are not unresolved.

I have appended a screenshot below, and as you can see when I right-click on the unresolved part and go to Vault->Show details, you can see on the right that it knows the part from the Vault, but the part is not loaded in the assembly.

Hi! I am sorry I cannot explain the behavior. It seems that either the mapped folder has been changed on your hard drive or on the Vault server. Could you share an iam file with a unresolved reference with me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com?

Many thanks!
