So I am working on an axel for a design piece and on each end I need a thread,I split the bar at each end to make a 10mm long thread, when I use the thread modeler only one side works the other side doesn't, any help or work around would be appreciated. Left side is what I want...

Why would you need to split at all? You can just indicate the length of the thread in the thread function. Can you share you part file?

Yeah, I am with Mark, why would you split. Why not just create the rod and add a thread on each end.

can you post your ipt file?

It might be a minor bug in the coolorange tool.. You would need to contact them for support about why its not working..

As to not needing to split you can simply uncheck the "full length" option in the thread dialog to avoid needing to split for each thread..

Didn't notice the full length box, thanks for the tip, just testes and works when you don't split but still this behaviour is unusual
