HI,

I've looked around the forum for an answer to this and can't find what I'm looking for.

I've attached two pictures. One is from a snippet of the screen before rendering and the other is the rendering itself. The colors seem markedly different. When I render I am set to use "Current Lighting".

I've spent many hours playing with various lighting schemes, exposures, local lights etc. While these changes affect the brightness of the render, they don't affect the tint. What settings, if any, can I use that will provide a rendering that matches the color I've use to model my part?

Edit: I'm using Pro. 2018.

Thanks,

Tom

There is a lot more calculations,etc.. going on when you are rendering vs just a shaded view or even the "realistic view" setting..

bounced light/reflections,etc..

As such colors will look somewhat different..

Keep tweaking until you get the desired outcome..

Sounds like you are using Studio for rendering..

If you are just doing static renders have you tried just using "realistic view" along with "raytracing" in the regular modeling environment..

I've found that its able to produce renders just as good if not better than Studio and can often do it faster,etc...

Thanks mcgyvr.

Interestingly enough, Shaded view with ray tracing shows the colors I've been modeling with. Realistic view with ray tracing shows what I've seen in the Studio rendering. You're right, the quality is very good and it's quicker.

I'm going to leave this post as "unsolved" to see if anyone else chimes in. I will have to do an animation later with my assembly.

Tom
