Shaft Generator: Not Retaining Settings

I have an interesting one that can be replicated.

In the SG, I'm transitioning from a cone to a cylinder. I unlock the smaller diameter to make that custom, since there's an intentional step between the smaller diameter and the mating cylinder. Looks great and stays, until I add a tapped hole to the end of the shaft. In that instance, the smaller diameter of the cone assumes that I want to be the same as the cylinder dimension. And although it's visible in the preview, when I close out the command, I do not get that step from the two different diameters.

For now, I'm adding the end tapped hole as a separate feature, outside of the SG command.

Has anyone else run into this before or is this an outlier?

What version and updates are you using?

Can you add your shaft model (*.iam und *.ipt) here?

The zip file has the SG part in it. I'm using 2023.

The cone smaller diameter should be 2.63. The cylinder diameter mating to it is 2.361. Those are fine until the tapped hole is added, via the SG dialog, to the right end of the shaft.

It will create the bore, but then it will change the cone diameter to 2.361. In that instance, it is viewable in the preview, but doesn't update in the model.

To get around that, I added the tapped hole as a feature outside of the SG dialog.

In the transferred model, the small diameter of the cone is locked (maybe it occurs automatically).

If I understand correctly, it must be unlocked before adding new elements (locking means matching the diameter size with the previous/next section).

Once the lock is released, there is no change after adding a hole.

I would also recommend adding allexternal chamfers and fillets in the SG.

Files in IV 2023.4.2 added.

It was unlocked, which is why this I posted this. In the meanwhile, I did apply the current SP to Inventor. I did recreate the SG part from scratch. It now appears to be fine and giving me the expected design results. It appears that I can close out that issue, yet will continue to monitor things, if this occurs again. Bringing me to one more question on this subject. When the part was created, it prompted me for a name. For clarity, I renamed the item in Vault. Then I checked out the file again, opened it in Inventor, and renamed the SG Browser item as the same of the part number. Would this ever create any issues?

I did find that tapped holes don't include NPT in the treads that I can add to the shaft end. I did have to add that outside of the SG dialog settings. I have a through hole in one of my SG models, which requires a 1-1/4 NPT on the end.
