Threads and other Textures not displaying in 3D file viewers

I have many models containing threads using the thread feature. I read that threads are not carried over on STEP files, but in my autocad viewer program (which displays .ipt files), the threads aren't being displayed either. My boss and I are trying to display the 3D model with the threads, as well as Knurling and other textures/appearances/materials on our website. Any thoughts?

How about export to 3D PDF or DWF file and display in the website?

The autocad viewer doesn't support the images/textures either..

How did you expect to have an ipt viewer on a website?

What are you trying to do with these files on the website?

The easiest solution is to simply save copy as to a jpeg or other image format..

If you expect to have a file avaialble that can be rotated,etc.. then you will need to actually model these thread/knurl features..

Hello @Anonymous how are you wanting the model to be displayed on the website? Through an actual rotating model?

You are right, 3D PDF is not support displaying thread right now. Sorry for that.

Shared view might be a better solution here.
