Hi, I have a student license for Inventor Professional 2019 and I am designing a trailer frame. I am trying to weld the joints of the steel frame but I do not have a weld tab on my ribbon. Also if I search "weld" in the Search & help commands bar I see the "weld" command but when I click it no options come up. Am I doing something wrong or is this feature disabled with the student license?

Thank you,

Hunter

The method of converting a Weldment back into a standard assembly already came up here once today.

Place the Weldment as sub-assembly and the Promote to the main assembly. Delete the sub.

So if I convert to a Weldment I wont be able to go back and edit the assembly unless I do what exactly? I want to get the frame designed with the axles and all and then test it in the program. Would I not need to weld all the joints to do that?
