Feature Control Frames within Text Editor for notes Inventor 2017

I'd like to incorporate FCF's within the Text Editor notes in our drawings. Would this be able to be accomplished with iLogic? Other solutions/suggestions welcome

Could you please clarify if it’s possible to manually add Feature Control Frames within a Text in Inventor? I’ve been trying to include some general notes above my title block so they can be reused across multiple drawings, but I haven’t found a solution in the forum. Is there a workaround for this?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

As @johnsonshiue mentioned in his earlier reply, there might be a way to do this with some sort of programming solution. There is currently no way to do this inside of the Text editor. To accomplish this manually, you would have to place the text and then add the FCF near it manually from the Symbols palette.

If you would like to ask about possible programming solutions, you could post your full question in the Inventor Programming forum, for the experts there to have a look at. Good luck.

Hi! I don't believe it is doable. Those GD&T symbols cannot be inserted to the Text Editor.

Is there a plan to add the ability to create Feature Control Frames in Drawing Notes? (GD&T symbols are already there??).

This is a commonly used practice for Drawings that Inventor does not currently support.
