Hatch Settings

Greetings All

See embedded jpeg's explaining my problem

I want to know how to use the By Material Function for Hatch Patterns,

and also find out from other Inventor Users how they manage their hatching.

I use the default hatch and change every single instance in the idw to suit.

Definitely not the right way, and very tedious. I want to change to the correct, more efficient way.

Hi Mike,

If I understood your request correctly, you could set up your own Styles and have each material mapped to a hatch style. Here is a video showing the workflow.

That is exactly what I was after.

I can't believe that after 8 years of using Inventor, I am still learning brand new

things on an almost daily basis!!

That just goes to show, you are never too experienced, and you are never a total expert,

and you must always show a willingness to listen and learn.
