Change orientation of the 3D indicator

Just started using Inventor 2019 after 2 years away from it. Is there a way to change the 3D indicator in the lower left corner so the "Z" is pointing up? I feel like when I'm using parameters I reference items in the X and Y plane but its really in the X and Z plane as I have used that plane to model from since it makes more sense to me similar to the viewing cube where top is pointing up .

Try RHBC on a View Cube and have a look what option suits your needs. Once happy with the selection - save the file as a template one.

Hi! Like Igor mentioned, this can be changed. I believe you would like Z-axis point upward (top face of view cube). Here is what you need to do.

1) Open the ipt or iam template or any file you want to change (this is a file specific so you need to change it in a file).

2) Look at XY plane so Z-axis points at you.

3) Go to ViewCube -> click on the downward arrow button -> Set Current View as Top.

4) Rotate ViewCube so that you have a nice Iso View (Z-axis points up).

5) Go to ViewCube -> Click on the downward arrow button again -> Set Current View as Home -> Fit to View.

OK, please see attached file Core A.ipt. Maybe I have messed with to many
settings to get it to work. I was able to make it work on a brand new file
opened from scratch and its definitely what I was after, see Sample
core.ipt.
