Custom Content Center Part - Unable to create part

I have been trying to insert a PEM BSOA-6440-24 into my drawing and it will not go. It appears on screen with my assembly but will not select the edge for auto insert.

I have been able to insert without any problem CLS-440-2 and FHS-632-8, after the insert get the table to select the correct one for each no problem.

With the BSOA-6440-24 it does not insert and I get the selection table to choice the size before placing. I can than place it in the drawing (not where it belongs), but it does not select any edges for placement.

I thought I had, sorry, the part is a BSOA-6440-24 and it is found in the Content Center under Sheet Metal, Standoffs, "PEM Self-Clinching Standoffs BSO,...".

I was able to manually place but have been unable to make the AutoDrop work.

I do not think any of the sheet metal standoffs in the Inventor Sheetmetal library have Auto-Drop capability. You are correct, if you search for your particular standoff, find it, turn on Auto-Drop, it seems like it wants to work. If you place it in your favorites or simply navigate to the family and select the member it will bring up the selection table, even if Auto-Drop is on. This proves to me that Auto-Drop is not built into an standoff families. It is a flaw in the application that triggers what seems like Auto-Drop is available

I would place it in your assembly and then use the Alt-Drag method of placing it using one of the included iMates on the part. Take a look at the screencast for this process.
