Ipn Segment trails almost invisible on exported PNG´s

Hello

As stated in the title i am having issues regarding the segment trail visibility when exporting a PNG from my IPN file.

I am trying to make a step by step guide for assembly of a spare part. however when exporting a PNG, to use in a word doc, the lines of the segment trail are barely visible, which makes the exploded view a little less useful, when its not possible to see where the screws/parts go.

I have below attached two images exported from the file, one a tiny bit better than the other. Which i achieved by changing the resolution of the exported image from 10000x6000 to 5000x3000. I would like to keep a good resolution so the image quality is not too bad, so i dont see it as a viable solution.

Is there a way to change the size/thickness of the segment trail lines? Or any other handy fix to this?

Hi! Did you export it directly from ipn or you export it from a drawing view based on an ipn?

I cannot seem to reproduce the behavior in either environment. This could be related to the screen resolution you are using. Please go to Windows Display Settings and select the recommended resolution and scale.

If it still does not work, please share the files here. Forum experts can help take a look.

I am running on 1080p 24 inch monitors with 100% scaling, which is the recommended scaling.

I export the images directly from the IPN environment, not from a drawing, using the export as image feature. Exporting a PNG from a DWG instead will produce the same result for me, except all lines from the drawing, headers, borders and such will also change their visibility, as if they change line weight.

I cannot attach the original files, but i have here attached a copy of the exact parts and tested that this behaves in the exact same way for me.

Hi! Many thanks for sharing the files! I tried it on my machine. I am not seeing the behavior. Though png export seems to ignore "Transparent Background" option. Could you try jpg file or bmp file instead?

Sorry for the delayed reply.

It seems to have the same "issue" happening regardless of the file type.

The higher the resolution the more difficult it becomes to see the segment trail.

Here it is as a JPG

I cannot attach the BMP images because of file size limit, but it results in the exact same thing.

I am starting to think that this is not an issue, but just something that is not very well thought through.

To clarify the issue is when i change this value:

We usually export in 10000x6000 so it is easy to zoom in on big assembly without the details getting blurry.

This is with the value set at 1668x666:

And this is at 10000x6000:

I understand that the line is always a given set of pixels, and when i export the image with more pixels the line gets smaller.

But i find it odd that i cant then change the line weight to still have it easily visible when exporting in HQ.

Hi! Many thanks for sharing the detail! I am sorry I did not follow the steps correctly. I have to set it to high resolution as 10000 x 10000 to see the problem. The file format does not matter here. Let me work with the project team to understand it better. In the meantime, you may need to use lower resolution to keep the trails visible in the exported image.

Hi! Just to provide some update on this issue, the project team has confirmed the defective behavior. It is reported as INVGEN-84495. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
