Any suggestions as to why my split parts list table keeps rearranging/splitting itself randomly between Inventor sessions? Table arrangement worked well yesterday, but upon opening the drawing this morning, it has gone haywire.

It's roughly 60 entries that won't fit my 11x17 landscape drawing format, thus the need for the split.

It's proving to be a PITA to keep un-splitting/re-splitting it get it back to its proper form.

Hi! Could you check the file modified date and time? Is it the time you saved the file last time?

Are there other users editing the files at the same time? Where are the files stored? One Drive?

Many thanks!

Don't think I'll be allowed to release the drawings and assemblies, but I'll check.

Funny thing is, I have opened both of those drawing numerous times over the last couple of months and the split table worked properly up until the other day when both were opened in the states you see above.

Can't figure out if part changes, additions, or subtractions are causing these anomalies.

I have to ask if there is a reason that you are using split table? When you split the table it basically keeps the two tables a separate entities that can be manipulated individually and maybe that's what you want. The method I have always used is to edit the parts list, right click on what I want to be the last row and select "Wrap Table at Row". This will accomplish something similar to splitting the table, but it will still behave as one entity and ensure that the two tables are connected. You can wrap tables to the left or to the right by going into the table layout window.

Thanks, Andrew. Never really paid much attention to that option as the split table has always been good enough, but I like your method better (as long as it keeps the formatting)!

Using your method, is there any way to create a small gap between the two lists to show some distinction between them?

Thanks again. Looks like your method is superior, and I agree about keeping the part list as one entity for editing and moving around the sheet.

Looks like the right way to go to avoid my periodic split table quirkiness too.

All that time where I've seen that, but never bothered to investigate it. This old dog has learned a new trick!
