Creating a Global Ilogic rule to update rules and drawing resources from template.

Hi,

In my template i have several rules to save drawing as pdf/dwg with approval state or approved state.
(also centering dimensions, and removing loose centers and dim)
These are easy accessibele through a form with buttons.

I would like to use them in older drawings (because they get copied), but i dont know how to add rules to existing drawings with a push of the button.

Also i would like to update the drawing resources, sketch symbols, title blocks and borders.

We use mostly external rules so, I'm not sure how to transfer rules but, you can use the Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard to copy drawing resources. Click on the windows start button and look in the Inventor folder.

You can first export the desired rule from the iLogic editor

and then add it to external rules tab

I will try the drawing recource transfer utility.

Recently (1 year ago) i switched to external/global rules, but the old drawings get copied a lot.
So i dont get rid of the old in document rules.
