I have created a design in an assembly and would like to know cross section properties as area and the second moment area. I start by creating a derived part from the assembly and as one solid only. The I create an advance cross section analysis and find that the second area moment is wrong compared to what I need.The second area moment is not about the axes as described. This really make no sense and need to be updated!</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>My workaround is instead to create a drawing (idw) and then create a section view.
