Hi everyone. I created a drawing following along with a video. What should be a front view is a side view. Is there anyway to change what view is the front?

Hi,

If you right-click the viewcube, there is an option to set current view as "Front" or "Top."

Rob's comment above relates to the part/assembly environment.

Drawings have no concept of what is 'front,' (although I think it might default your first view to match viewcube front) that is up to you as the drafter.
If you double click the view in the drawing, you can then manipulate the viewcube to decide which angle of the model you want to be shown in that drawing view.

Hi! You may want to look into your drawing settings. Open the drawing template or drawing file. Go to Manage -> Styles and Standards -> Styles Editor -> View Preferences -> Front View Plane -> Model View Cube or one of the Origin Planes.

The change will apply to the the template (or the file). If you want to persist the change, you need to enable Styles Library (Read & Write) and save the change back to the Library.
