Hi

I need some help converting a Composite Part to Solid Part. I have tried using the Thickness Feature but the part still shows up as a composite when i create a shrink wrap or substitute file. I have attached the file for anyone to have a go at it and let me know how you did it. Thanks

This Image shows the Part in my Assembly

This Image shows the part when it is Shrink wrap or made into a substitute.

Right click on Repaired Geometry > Repair bodies.

Right-click on composite > unstitch > apply > done.

Choose stitch > Select the body radio button > Click on "find remaining gaps and free edges" to see if any appear.

Click OK.

Finish the repair.

Hope that helps.

Hi! I hope you don't mind I reply in English. The image shows that the imported geometry is in very poor quality. It would be very difficult to convert it to a solid. It will require a lot of work to repair. The quickest things to try is to use Heal Errors command to fix up the badness. If it does not work, export the part as IGES (set the tolerance high in Options). Then re-import it back.

If nothing works, you may need to ask for a better file (STEP) from your vendor. Or, recreate the part from scratch based on the imported geometry.

Many thanks!
