Hi

I have one more doubt. if you take notice in the front view horizontal dimensions in the 2D drawing, all the dimensions are conjusted. How can make these digits align vertically? or is there any better method to do that?

Hi Everyone. I am a beginner in Autodesk Inventor. I am trying to learn it using the online tutorials.

When I make a sheet metal part using face command the dialogue box appears as shown in the attached screenshot. The encircled portion is making confusion for me because in the video tutorial it is driven by "Sheet Meta Rule" not "Bend".

Hi! Without seeing the part, I can only speculate. Based on the dialog status, you are creating the very first feature, which is a Face in this sheet metal part. You cannot select an edge to create a bend because there is not other sheet metal body to select.

Could you attach the file so forum experts can help take a look?

Many thanks!

Hi, for a view that has so much detail, I think it would be convenient to use several drawing sheets.
For example, one with the complete deployed model, and others with the details that you want to place.
Apparently the sheet will be cut by laser or some similar system, so the important thing would be to create the correct dxf of the unfolding, if so, many dimensions would be unnecessary, only those of inspection, control of the part I suppose.
The dimensions that describe horizontal (created with ordinate set) can cause confusion because the view is so small.
If they are really necessary, you could add a detail view where the dimensions are superimposed and use a larger scale to make the map more readable. These are just some personal interpretations at a glance, surely the partners can have more important points of view. regards
