Hi, I work for desktop management at my college. A teacher has requested that we package all 12 of the content center libraries to install in a classroom that already has Inventor 2018 installed on them. I have used the exes to extract themselves to a folder in Autodesk and there is a batch file that runs the exe and the zip folders to install the content center libraries.

The problem I'm running into is that I'm getting this error message:

There are only two options I could find for installing content center libraries. It was either running the Inventor installer to add them (which I can't do because we would like to install these through Symantec Management Agent) or making a Vault server. Is there a way to install these with a script?

Hi @Anonymous,

I believe you are going to install Content center other than Remote content center. Do you still have the resource file of Inventor installation? if not, please download it firstly.

Navigate to "...\setup\Content\DCLibrary\" and find the file "DCLibrary64.msi" and go ahead to install it directly.

In addition, try below command lines -

Use the following two commands to install Inventor View from the Windows command line:

<Install resource path>\setup\Content\DCLibrary\DCLibrary64.msi ADSK_SETUP_EXE=1 /qb

Hope it helps!

Hi, I copied the source DCLibrary folder then used your command line, and it installed all of the libraries I wanted it to except for GOST:

Thanks for your help so far, would you happen to know why it didn't install GOST?

Hi, I am trying to install these libraries programmatically, which means I can't go into control center to do it. But the command line you gave me worked for most of the libraries, so thank you for giving that to me and the download link too. If the MSI file didn't install GOST, is that something I would have to fix with Orca? Or should I try redownloading GOST and run the MSI line again?

I tried unzipping the content center libraries, but it still won't install GOST, Mold Imperial, or Mold Meusburger.

Why isn't the MSI installing these? Do you know what settings I have to change with Orca?

EDIT: I just checked my other virtual machine that I installed Inventor 2018 and the content center libraries manually, and it is also missing these three libraries. I think this is a bug.

Hello @Anonymous,

It is not a bug, when try to manually install the Content library, the GOST is unistalled by default, user have to turn on it manually.

For Mold library, it's a seperate story which requires to download and install seperatly as previous thread mentioned.

In most of workflows, those library are not required.

By the way, to deploy application or installation, it's better to have the administrator permission to do so.

Hope it helps!
