topic 3D print from inventor with separate parts in Inventor Forum

Hi!

I am using inventor to create model which contains 2 different parts bonded together. I also have a 3D printer with 2 nozzles, and I can print with 2 different materials in the same time. I want to export my assembly to stl or smth like that where in the printer software (FlashPrint or Simplify3D) I can select different nozzle for each part. I do not want to put them together in the printing software beacause positions are not easy to reach. Is it possible in inventor and if yes let me know how to do that.

Thanks!

Doing dual extrusion always require 2 separate stl files and then merging them together in the 3d printer software.

Inventor can certainly create multiple solid bodies in a single file but the 3d printer software typically doesn't support that..
