Customize bolt length equation used by Bolted Connection

I'm trying to set up a configuration that allows the Bolted Connection generator to create accurate ASTM A325 bolted assemblies.

I've configured a custom content center library with the proper descriptions and sizes, but I can't seem to find a way to match the grip length to bolt length specifications laid out in the tables.

I found this old thread about adjusting the calculated bolt lengths, but it doesn't sound like this was something that could be configured.

Hi Andrew. I don't think anything has changed since that post in how Bolted Connection determines the minimum length of the bolt when the Bolted Connection is generated. If I was reading it correctly, it will choose the closest standard bolt length which will not be less than the spec driven minimum length (2 threads beyond the face of the nut?). Beyond that you'd have to use the arrow grips to make the bolt longer.

Once you've created a connection that you like (component choices, lengths etc.), you can save those as presets, and go back to them in situations where the conditions are the same (thickness of material, for example).

Yeah, I was really hoping that the length could be updated if the grip changed for some reason. It's almost the only advantage Bolted Connections has versus using predefined assemblies for various patterns and lengths.
