Contact set not working in studio animation

I created simple Malteze-like mechanism (see attachment zip-archive) which works nicely when I drive angle constraint in normal assembly environment. But when I would like to render better quality animation and open Studio environment the contact set or contact solver is ignored. Comapre attached video files - I would like to have constraint.mp4 function in studio.mp4 quality.

Am I missing some animation settings? Is it even possible? It should be in 2019.

I am using Inventor Professional 2019.

Install Update 4 for 2019.

Solve the motion in Environments>Dynamic Simulation.

Click Publish to Studio.

Unfortunately last update I see here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates is 2019.0.2 Hot fix ... and I cannot find Autodesk desktop app on my computer.

And what I need is not Dynamic simulation but rendered kinematic animation.

Well, the Updates do not really have anything to do with your problem in this case.

Updates are only available to those on subscription (and I think maybe students, but not sure about this).

I am sorry, if I understood it correctly the right answer is something like:

"No, it is not possible to to create rendered animation so easily by only driving the constrain because Studio environment does not apply contact sets. However, there is workaround using Dynamic simulation where for example torque has to be defined or joint velocity set instead of driving angle constraint. And then send it to android studio.

For proper Dynamic simulation work the 2019.4 update shoud be installed."

Am I right?

Hi! I don't think Contact is enabled in Studio Animation. You will need to change the constraints in animation to avoid contact. What JD said was true. It is better to use Dynamic Simulation to capture the behaviors of motion contact.

It's been 3 years, does it still not work? I'm sure many of the users encountered this same problem and had to work around it the long way. Is it possible to have a solution soon?

Hi! No, I am not aware of a behavioral change here. The prior comments still hold true at the moment. I guess the other option would be simulation the motion in Dynamic Simulation environment.

Thank you for your reply! By the way, is the cause of contact set not being available in the studio environment for it'd be too unstable to render an animation video with having to calculate contact set there? Or am I thinking too much into it? Either way, if possible, please make it a feature in the future.

Yes, you can have your solution today.

Simply Attach your assembly here and I will demonstrate how to use Contact Joints with Inventor Studio.
