Deleting rows in Excel leaves blank rows in Inventor drawing

Is there a way to delete the blank rows in the drawing? There's a blank row at the end for each row deleted. Thank you.

Here's an example: I deleted one row and now it leaves a blank at the end.

Have you considered using a drawing table that is linked to the spreadsheet instead of an OLE object? Think of the copy/paste from Excel as a screenshot image of the area in Excel that you copied. In my experience Inventor will always remember the area that you inserted so if you delete a row in Excel you get an empty row on the drawing, but if you add a row ion Excel it won't show up on the drawing. You will have to delete the object and re-insert it using the new area. I think if a drawing table is used it will know when changes are made and update accordingly. It's been a while since I had to do this type of work so the way it behaves could have changed.

In an Inventor drawing, if you ever need to delete a row in a table created in an embedded Excel, it will leave a blank row at the end of the table.

An embedded Excel table looks like this in the side browser:

You will need to re-insert the table to remove the blank row. Here are the steps.

Double-click the table.
The table will open in Excel.
Highlight the required cells, and right-click copy.
You can close Excel because the table is on the clipboard.
In inventor, go to the top and click the Manage tab/Insert Object.
In the menu, click “Create New” & highlight “MS Excel Worksheet”.
A blank Excel worksheet will open.
Right-click, “Paste” into cell A1.
Format the cells.
Close Excel.
The table will be on your cursor and can be placed anywhere on the drawing.
The table may need to be re-sized.
You can delete the table with the blank row.

I appreciate your response. We typically use embedded Excel tables to keep from having to upload a spreadsheet to the Vault.
