Export 3D pdf but parts are missing in pdf

I export 3D pdf's from Inventor 2020 and then open the pdf.

For some reason not all of the parts are visible.

If I go to the Model Tree in the pdf, I can turn those invisible parts on.

Why are they turned off?

They were all on in the assembly when the 3D pdf was created.

Is there any way to fix this?

When creating the 3d pdf are you selecting (or not deselecting) a specific design view representation?

I usually leave it Default. I've also tried selecting Master and I've also created Views and selected them. Nothing works.

I have not created many 3D PDF's, but it seems like this has happened in previous versions as well.

Do you have the latest updates with both the Inventor and the 3D PDF software you are using?

I opened it up and I only have the Adobe reader. Not the same version as you. Sorry to say, I don't think I can help you.

Do you happen to have a service contract on your Adobe software? This issue might be on their end.

Hi Franc,

I am not sure the difference between you and me. But, the 3D PDF file I exported on 2020.1 looks fine, while the one you exported did have some parts missing. Could you take a look at attached PDF file?

Can you please tell me which 3D-pdf template you have used?

I can see it is different to mine.

Hi! I was using Sample Assembly Template.pdf in the default \Templates\ folder. You should have it too.

I have just downloaded the new template and re-created the 3D-pdf.

It is still NO GOOD!

I have tried it on 2020_RTM build, also on 2020_R1, and in both cases, it has been correctly exported, with all components visible. In both cases has been used original Sample Assembly Template.pdf.

It´s hard to say, what is wrong, while we cannot reproduce this behavior. Could you record video with detailed steps ? Maybe we missed some key step.

Hi! Are you using English Inventor or non-English version? I recall you will need to use localized PDF template if you are using a localized build.
