If you place your support in the first instance of the feature pattern it will correct. If you need it off the end, maybe redo the cut to where the first instance is where you need it.

3D Assembly Pattern Problem

I am self teaching myself how to use Inventor, and I know that is not the best way to learn but I do not have access to a professional learning program for this software. That being said... I am trying to pattern a 3D assembly along another 3D assembly. I am able to follow through with the pattern but it is not fitting my feature select as I wish. The curve is what is causing my issue I think, but i find it strange how it fixes back to my pattern after the curve. I have attached screen shots of what is happening here.

Thank you! That did the trick. I am putting a different support assembly in the pattern seed, so i will create the pattern from the second spot so that is my new seed and I can insert a separate assembly in the first spot.

I would probably simply Suppress the first Element after creating the Pattern.

Keep in mind you cannot suppress the first element in a pattern. You can suppress the assembly underneath the element which then creates a level of detail.. But as for just suppressing an instance like 6, or 7 you cant.

I just did this before I suggested as a solution?

Perhaps not a Feature Pattern seed Occurence, but a Component Pattern first Element.

I only mentioned because of the level of detail. Some want to avoid that at all cost. I guess my brain and fingers didn't communicate very well to make my point clear 😁
