Slash Key in Notes - not working

When in Notes environment for IPT and IAM files, the "/" key doesn't work. Yet in any other function/operation it works fine.

Am I the only one seeing this?

Hi @blair

In see the same thing in 2020.... the back slash works as expected, but the forward slash key does nothing.... unless I hold the Shift key first... then it makes the slash all curvy 🙂

Just checked, and I'm exhibiting similar behaviour. It looks like a few symbols aren't going in from that side of the keyboard, such as the period, forward slash, semicolon, right square bracket, and equal. May be more, but I'm just about to head home for the day.

You are talking about engineering notebook, correct?

I was thinking someone reported issues with the engineering notebook when 2020 was released or perhaps I'm getting old and thinking of something else No comments ( @Curtis_W )

Update: I used the forward slash on the numerical keyboard of the keyboard and it works there... Now that's odd...

To your point, if I use the notebook, I do see that the "/" does not work, but, if I use the one above the number pad it does. Now, the "\" works fine. If this is what @blair is talking about.

This is only happening in the Engineering Notes.

Glad to others with the same issue and it's just not me. 🙂

Yes, only the forward slash on the numeric keypad works and not the forward slash on the main keyboard area.

Hi Guys,

I am seeing the same behavior. For some reason, the forward slash is blocked. I cannot explain it. It looks like a bug to me. I will follow up with the project team to understand it better.

Just in case you missed it, there are several other symbols from that area of the keyboard that aren't working either. See my post above; hope that helps in the bug-quashing!
