I cant delete a part from a pattern in an assembly. Is it possible?

I have an assembly with 5 parts that are constrained together, and I have them rotationally patterned. I found that one of the parts in the pattern is unnecessary, and I want to delete it. I expand the pattern, highlight the part, right click doesn't show "delete". So then I try the keyboard delete key and nothing happens. Am I missing something?

Isn't there an option to Suppress a particular instance?

Yes, I can suppress it from each element of the pattern, but I don't need the part at all in the design.

A pattern is a pattern.

You will have to suppress the instance or dissolve the pattern.

Hi @Borsht

Maybe I've misunderstood, but it seems to me what you want to do is edit the pattern feature and then hold the CTRL key to deselect the component that you do not want in the pattern, this will remove all the instances of the component from the pattern.

Thanks Curtis. You didn't misunderstand. That was exactly what I wanted. I just had to remove it from the pattern, then I was able to delete the initial instance of the part.
