What textbook are you using to learn Inventor analysis - I can direct you to chapter covering this topic.

I have to work in Inventor Pro and I don't have any book for help.

For example, I have a beam and I applied a material for it. Now, if I want to make a thin surface on top of the beam, but with another material, is it possible with shell elements?

The result that I want is to have a beam made by a material and at the exterior surfaces to be surrounded with shell elements which have another material. I hope I explain correct.

Can you Attach your assembly here?

What version of Inventor are you using?

I don't understand the purpose of 5palacompleta* 12-16 files, they appear to be duplicates of *11 to me.

I would have simply patterned the original if they are in fact the same.

Having looked at the part files however, I would remodel them from scratch.

The geometry does not look logically modeled to me and the file size would be significantly smaller.

Fortunately it is pretty simple geometry to remodel from scratch as native Inventor geometry rather than imported AutoCAD geometry (faceted faces).

It could also be remodeled in AutoCAD without the faceted faces and then imported.

Initial, when I imported the geoemtry in Inventor, I had 6 parts (5 blades+spinner), but I modified the file and combine all of them in a solid body, but when I save the document, it saves, also, that parts, I don't know why or how to solve the problem.

I know, it was more easier to make the geometry in Inventor, but I didn't know in that moment when I started the project, so I have continued with the geometry imported.

It would take less than an hour to create proper geometry in Inventor and it would be usable geometry.

You have wasted weeks on this project that I stated my opinion weeks ago was not usable geometry.

It is my opinion (based on 30 yrs of experience) that you will never be successful with this geometry.

I recommend that you start over.

I had this discussion about the geometry. I understand you, I respect you opinion and I know that you have more experience than 100 like me, but I told you, this is not because I am conceited, it's because I don't know to make the geometry in Inventor, I told you. I need to introduce that XYZ coordinates...

I believe that you say, but I don't know how to make it. In 3 months I had to learn to work in 3 different programs and other many things to do, it is not easy.

You are correct - this is not an easy endeavor - this is an advanced level topic.
I will try to keep this project in mind over the next few weeks as I work on a Generative Design project - this might make a good example. But no promises - I might not get anywhere with it.

In the meantime - I recommend that you remodel the geometry from scratch in Inventor.

You can use the AutoCAD geometry as reference.

Let's start with this part of the geometry.

Why is this modeled as a revolution of short straight lines?

From my experience I would expect this to b a revolution of a handful of tangent arcs (or a spline curve).

When I made the spinner, also in AutoCad, it was made by intersection of the coordinates (spline) and when I used "revolve" function, it made this lines from every point revolved (I think)... I thought in that moment it's ok and software did this.

Here is simple example.

I replaced all of the straight lines with a curve.

Now that I know the dimensions - I could start over from scratch - completely eliminating the reference Base geometry.

So Smooth

I have to get some other work done for now, but on quick examination it appears that this is a uniform profile throughout the airfoil.

If so, this will be a simple Sweep with Twist.

This will be much easier than I initially suspected.

I simply need to recreate the profile curve and determine the sweep length and degrees of twist.

I assume that you already know the degrees of twist?

Yes, I know. I need to know how to do all this things because I have to make a final report of all I worked, all the steps I made. Do you know how to import 3D coordinates of 30 sections once?
