Could also just be because you are looking in the "Solids" folder and not down further in the model browser..

Scroll your model browser down to see whats below front/top,etc.. view reps..

You select a workplane and it will highlight down there.. Its not not a part of solid1 so its not under that filtered list of features applicable to solid1 only..

In Catia ,NX and Solidworks it is possible to find an element of your 3D model in the tree immediately.

How works this in Inventor? I cannot find the answer in my books and even not in the internet.

Here is my problem: I designed in my private computers the same part in CATIA, NX and Inventor to see how much time I need. Inventor was the winner - what I never expected. And in an excellent rendering-quality. In my career with BMW M5, Maserati-Underbody, Airbus and Freightliner was it generally use to clean up the 3D model. I created a plane for a drawing in 2D. But all of the sudden I cannot hide (= not visible) a plane. Normally you click the plane with the right mouse button and you will find them in the tree. In my case I cannot find where the plane is.

I am sure the answer is simple but my time is limited. Can you help me?

Here is the screenshot. Thanks in advance.

If you want to find the workplane in the browser, simply select the workplane, by its edge, and right click. Near the bottom of the context menu you will see "Find in Browser". The browser will scroll to the selected workplane.

If you want to make to toggle its visibility, you can choose "Visibility" from the same right click menu.

If your only intention is to toggle your work features on or off, select the View tab and then the "Object Visibility" from the Visibility panel and toggle on or off what you desire.

By the way, the selection of workplanes is two way, select it in the browser, right click, and select "Find in Window".

Hi! On top of what John already mentioned, you can find the related features by select "Relationship" command in the right-click context menu (when a feature is selected). It will show you the parent features and child features.

Many thanks!

I had a very strange behavior of this model. As you show me with the browser and the visibility was already known by myself. The menu you show me didn't show up. I ask my coworker (Inventor user) what's happen and they confirmed the answer of you 3 repling experts. I came home ,open the model and the plane was simply away!!!!!!

Is this a known bug? I mean, meanwhile I love Inventor but I had a lot of bad surprises in the last time. Such a thing drives me nuts! Have you maybe a link about all known bugs?

But thanks to all 3 answers, I am appreciate your help.
