Inventor 2020 Sketch Rotate is BUGGED

Just finished fighting all the bugs of updating our software to 2020... All updates are current.

If in a sketch, the rotate function will not act as it has in past - The "reference leader" (as you sweep your rotation after permitting a constraint relaxation) is seemingly not attached to the sketch. Similarly, the specific rotation angle input is 100% useless once the reference line is no longer attached to the sketch - The geometry whips around all willy nilly like it's got no clue what's going on.

While attempting to screencast/record with any of the programs I had access to, the sketch rotation tool would act differently than it would without, so I had to resort to a quick cell-phone video... Sorry in advance.

Would love a hotfix or something to address this one, as I frequently use the rotate tool which is now bunk.

It works fine on my computer. I have the newest 2020.2 update, I know you said you are current with all updates but do you have this installed?

Hi! I am not aware of a behavioral change it this workflow. Either it is a legacy issue or it is a file specific issue. Please share the file here or send it to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com).

Check Tools -> App Options -> Sketch -> Snap to Grid. Is it on or off?

I have confirmed that we have all of the sequential updates installed up through and including 2020.2.

Unfortunately because of NDAs (etc.), I'm unable to share files.

I did confirm that the snap to grid is UNCHECKED.

After giving it some thought, I attempted to recreate what you all had - I sketched up something similar from a brand new template file, and was unable to reproduce the issue; that said it's got to be that specific file. I've never seen it act like that, ever! ...so confusing...

I guess I jumped the gun to point the finger at Inventor so early in the game.. Shameful!

Hi! If you need to rotate sketch geometry frequently, you may consider creating Sketch Block. SB allows you to move or rotate a group of sketch geometry as a whole, instead of individual pieces.

To enable SB workflows, right-click on Sketch ribbon -> check Layout panel.
