You want the intersection point between the two centrelines then? Start the dimension by picking a starting axis them RMB and choose intersection and select the second axis. That will pick the intersection of the two centrelines. Then pick a third axis and RMB click and choose intersection again and you'll get what you want I believe.

Mike

Dimensioning in 2D with work axis created in 3D. I'm having trouble snapping a dimension to the intersection point of 2 work axis. Inventor lets me snap to end points or create angular dimensions but have not been successful snapping to the intersections. Any help would be appreciated.

What about creating centerlines and then add the dmensions to these?

I don't know how to extract centerlines in 3D or 2D without going through a lot of effort of putting in perpendiculars then snapping to center point and extending that line both directions.

Well, you're right. My suggestion doesn't work Sorry.
I'll try another way, later ...

When creating your dimension make that intersection the second selection. Dimension > select the first edge > Select one of those lines (it'll preview an angle or linear dimension) > RMB > 'Intersection' > Select the other center line.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Inventor-Help/files/GUID-66F2C5D5-81F7-4B3C-A8B5-A886CE0CB440-htm.html
