Center a sphere to a cylinder centerline failed

I have a center-bolt. On one end I try to center a sphere. My plan was, to make an "entry-bowl" later, after the sphere is in the right position. The middle plane of the sphere is flushed with the surface. Then I tried to center the sphere with flush to flush with the origin planes. No success, an error message shows up every time. After an hour I made "help channel" into the sphere. To see if this helps. No way. I am sure the solution is simple. Attached are images and the models of center bolt and sphere. Thx

I must not understand the Design Intent.

They are both modeled relative to the origin - there are several ways to solve this.

Mate workplanes will work.

Derived Component will work.

No need to cut hole as axis which is created by you, You can use axis for assembly.

Thanks JDMather. I tried the same way. And not only one time. Your solution is normally exact this, what I planned to do. But it didn't work with my model. Every time an error message occurred about a problem. You are absolutely right in all ways of solutions and I can understand that you wonder about me.

I will buy a new laptop in Jan2020. Because I guess my lap has a problem. Something is wrong here in my lap. I am working with 3D since 1998 (Catia V4, BMW 850-last edition). And meanwhile I am very happy about Inventor. But this case with the center of the sphere makes me feel ashamed.

You did not Attach your *.iam file which exhibited this issue - so impossible to diagnose.

I have a good idea what caused the issue, but without the file....
