topic Corrupt File? in Inventor Forum

I have a finished drawing that appears to be corrupted. The file is a .dwg and will open in AutoCAD but will crash Inventor. The part assembly that is referenced in the file opens properly in inventor as well as the presentations that are used. Is it possible to fix this corruption? Redoing the drawing is out of the question and I have a ton of drawings done exactly the same way so I am fearful that this issue could arise elsewhere. This is not PC based, it is in fact the drawing as 2 other computers can't open the file either.

Please advise!

Thanks,

Daniel

@Anonymous

When you say it crashes Inventor, do you see the standard crash report? Or Inventor just closes?

If you do see the standard crash report, private message me and we will discuss your next steps.

Inventer version and what updates have you applied?

Hi Daniel,

Please share versions of AutoCAD and Inventor you are using. Like Mark mentioned here, please send in the crash report and send me an email (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to understand the crash better.

Many thanks!
