Problem, cannot get rail to interesect sections correctly.

The attempted Loft operation found a rail curve intersecting a section more than one time. Try with a different rail curve or modify the rail curve so that it intersects each section only once.

Hello all. Thank you again for taking the time to read this.

So I attempting to use a rail loft but continue to run into "rail curve intersecting" error. I've uploaded a few screenshots trying to explain what I was going for. I need(prefer) the radius of the arc to be equal to the distance of the long side of sketch 14. I also need it to begin and be tangent to the points circled and projected in the first picture. I did this by drawing the arc segment as shown, and then copying the segment to the projected point at the top, and then trimming out the original. I then drew a straight line at the bottom of the arc to connect the segment to intersect with the loft section.

Keep getting stuck at this point. This method of work worked out fine on the first half, but for the life of me I can't figure out the second part.

If you edit the sketches 4 and 31. Make the projected model edges construction where the only non-construction lines are the profile shapes, you will be good to loft cut your shape.

Hi! As Brad suggested here, there is a busy profile issue. You have lines crossing one another. The profiles are not well-defined.

Another approach I personally prefer is to create a loft surface using curves, not worrying about the closed profiles. Since this is a cut operation any way, it is fine to create the bottom surface using loft and then Sculpt/Split it afterwards.
