Paramteric Modeling

So I am looking for opinions from some more experienced Inventor user with regards to parametric modeling. I am starting a project that will require numerous assemblies of similar design dictated by height and length. These assemblies will have parts that vary according to height or length and a couple that vary according to both height and length. This will be my first foray into parametric design and I am trying to figure out what will be my best method to accomplish this. Let me say I do know how to use linked parameters and have a basic understanding of iLogic. The areas that I see causing issues (mostly because I'm new to parametric design and lack experience) are primarily in the back end of things such as drawings and dxf exports. I apologize that I can not go into more depth with details of the items I am creating but I don't think that will be a problem as im more interested in a direction to begin my research. I love to learn these things myself and I am ver much self taught so I am not looking for step by step guides just methods you think may work best for my situation and why.

It depends on what you're doing.

iPart, ModelState, Master Skeleton are different ways to make different sized parts/assembly.

@BK-MTFNE we'd really need to see an example of what you are talking about, because based on design, modeling, and how parts constrain has a lot to do with how you model stuff and what "favor" of "parametrics" you use.
