Inventor Studio Render Image - Options window does not open

Hi,

Ive started facing an issue recently with my Inventor Pro 2025. When entering the Inventor Studio environment and clicking on "Render Image" for configuring render output, the configuration window does not open and as a result, I cant render anything. This happens for any project / part / assembly and I can't figure out what is going on.

when clicking the "render image" button, the only thing that happens is a red line that appears on the bottom of the screen (yellow arrow)

Hello and welcome! Can you tell us what kind of system you are working on? Do you use multiple monitors?

Verify if the prompt is hidden and cannot be found by using your keyboard to press ALT+SPACE, release, press 'M' key, release, press any directional arrow, release, then move your mouse around without clicking to bring the prompt back into your display area.

hi @CGBenner and @Gabriel_Watson thanks for the quick support! I'm using an HP Zbook notebook with one external monitor. I have tried Gabriel hint and no immediate result, but after unplugging my external monitor, the window showed up on the laptop screen. It's funny because this was happening for days, both with and without external monitor. Go figure...

I am still using Inventor 2016, with Windows 11. I can't render anything at all. The program crashes each time I try. Never had an issue with Windows 10...

Is there a workaround, patch or service pack that will fix this?

Hello All,

I'm still using Inventor 2016... It's running fine on Windows 11, except I can't render anything in Inventor Studio without the program closing with a crash.

Is there a workaround, patch, or service pack available to fix this?

Hi Gary,

Inventor 2016 is very old. It never supports Windows 11. Please upgrade to more recent releases.
