Unable to extrude sketch, very confused

Hello, I need to extrude this simple sketch of a hand but am unable to do so. I am using Autodesk Inventor 2018 Professional. I have been working at this for hours and can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Using Sketch doctor, I found a few errors, but after fixing on error on the thumb, I got it to work. I thing the constrains are to the guide lines and not the sketch lines.

Thank you for your response. Did you have to add constraints or were you able to just fix the one error and get it to work? Also, if you don’t mind, could you be a little more specific as to what you did to get it to work? Thank you so much for your help.

It was a little tricky.

I used the right click option to activate the sketch doctor. This pointed me to the open loops in the index finger and connection between the index finger and thumb.

I first started at the Thumb/Index finger, Used the option of show constraints (F8) and the deleted all the coincident constraints. I then dragged the two splines apart, and re constrained them, but ensuring that the curve/ curve points are selected. (When selecting, wait a few seconds to allow the select other option to activate, I find using CTRL-A at this stage can have undesired results.)

After re-constraining, I would press the "E" key and see if the extrusion preview would show. Working with splines in this example was painful for me, as I don't use splines in my daily operations, so my resultant shape moved ever so slightly, but I am guessing that it's not too much of an issue for you.

Hi! I personally do not believe you are using the right tool to design. Inventor is 3D feature-based parametric solid modeling CAD tool to design precise model (accurate up to 0.00001mm). Every point on the model is measurable and you need such precision because you want to scale it in different sizes and mass volume.

For your case, I don't believe the hand needs such accuracy. Also, you may not have to scale in a family of hands. I suggest you look into TinkerCAD or MeshMixer.
