Yes, ok, when I edit the dimension -> Precision and Tolerance -> select Base - it creates a text box around the number, but still it doesent work like when I do it with ordinary text function. (Picture attached)

Greetings !

Adding Dimension Text Box?

Hello, is there any way to add a leader with a box? What I mean is that I would like to have an empty box that I could write my own dimensions in. Can this be done? Because, so far I haven't found anything. Thanks!

You can use the Datum Identifier Symbol, write the text you want inside its box, use numbering, justification etc. change the font and font size. Then just remove the leader from it, by right clicking on it, and choose delete leader.

Hi! Yes, there are multiple ways to do it. You can create Text/Leader Text. Or, you can define Sketch Symbol. Or, you can create a dimension but you hide the dimension and enter any text/value you like.

Many thanks!

Pictures attached.
It is avaliable when creating normal text in drawing.

Greetings Sanel

Hi! Are you trying to add Base Dimension? If yes, you can do that easily. Edit the dimension -> Precision and Tolerance -> select Base.

Many thanks!
