The constuction frame and the Spline itself are one and the same object. What is your problem if you see both?

If you realla want the construction frame invisible, Right Click at the spline and then deselect PolygonVisibility.

If this is not your issue, let us see an example file.

Have an issue that when I am trying to 'close loop' on control vertex spline as I select segments going around in some segments it selects both the line and the construction geometry that makes the spline. How do I get it to just select the spline/

The main problem is that in trying to 'close loop' when it selects both the line and geometry it stops the close loop function, so you cant select any more loop segments. like the one shown.

In >>this video<< I show how you can create closed loops.

After creating the closed loop it is not possible to extrude as a solid. Therefore I extruded as surface, closed the ceil and the floor with a patch and then sculpted to solid.

The second loop is used to create a new solid.

Repeat the same wit the outer loop to create a third solid.

Now you can combine the solids, subtract the 1st and 2nd solid from the 3rd one.

The outer loop has a mistake in the given sketch. You can see it in Part4-pa1.

I repaired the original sketch a little - the result is Part4-pa2.

If you have further questions feel free to ask again.
