Hi! Did you use Default project or you have a custom project? Where do you store the files? I believe you may need to create a custom project so that Inventor can find the files easily. Go to Get Started -> Project -> create a new project. Make sure the \Workspace\ points to the folder that stores the Inventor files including the T&P runs.

Many thanks!

I am creating a new Tube and Pipe Run in an assembly. When I go to save the Tube and Pipe Run for the first time, Inventor gives me a message of "The system cannot find the file specified." I would think it can't find the file, as this is the initial save and it is meant to be creating the first instance of the file. It does this whether I have nothing in the Tube and Pipe Run or if I have things in the Tube and Pipe Run. Now, this isn't a clean assembly. It did previously have a Tube and Pipe Run in it. This is an air and water system that's been brought over from a previous project, as it has the same components in it. That old Tube and Pipe Run could not be used as the adaptivity was turned off, and it was not able to be turned on. So, the old Tube and Pipe Run was deleted, the folder containing that old Tube and Pipe Run was deleted from our network storage. There are no references to the old Tube and Pipe Run in the assembly. I still get the error "The system cannot find the file specified" when I attempt the initial save of a brand new Tube and Pipe Run.

We are using a custom project. If I open a brand new assembly and attempt to create a Tube and Pipe run using the same custom project, there is no issue. I ended up starting the assembly over, and using the parts from the previous project, and it worked just fine.

I think the problem was that I tried to use that assembly from the previous project in the new project. Basically, imagine you were building a Ford Escape, and you'd previously build a Ford Focus. The AC system for both cars use the same parts. So, you take the AC assembly from the Focus and drop it into your Escape project, but because the cars are slightly different, you need to move some pieces around. That's what I was trying to do, and it caused issues.

When I took the parts for the AC system from the Focus, and dropped them into a brand new assembly in the Escape project, it worked just fine.
