Turning a part into an assembly

Hi Guys,

So i was busy with an ipt. file and I completed it, I now want to take the gussets in the ipt file and separate it from the flange so that it is two individual ipt files and one assembly, is there a way to do such a thing?

Attached is the part file.

I can't open your model right now, but if as I suspect, it is a multibody, you ca use the make components tool as explained in this video
