topic BOM Export Missing Parts in Inventor Forum

Hello Community!

I experienced a very frustating problem when i exported BOM from Inventor Pro 2025.

I exported an Structured - All levels BOM to Excel, and after a while i saw that list does not contain all of the items from the Modell.

I checked every BOM structure, every component, subassembly, and i could not find any problem with them. I tried to export again, and then the missing components were there, but others missing.

I used an excel template, but get the same result if i export without it.

If i export an Part Only, it shows all of the components (As i saw, but now i am not sure about that), just the all levels structured seems to be faulty.
I tried to export from an subassembly (the missing components are in an deep level), and this time the missing components were there.

As i saw, only that parts/assemblies were missing, which contains model states, or the parent assembly contains model states.

Anyone faced with that problem before? What can i do to be sure all of my components are exported?
(I cannot upload or send files, unfortunately)
Thanks for help!

Hi! The behavior does not sound right to me. It could be a BOM corruption or component instance corruption. Please share the files in zip with me directly at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com.

Many thanks!

I would also check the BOM structure for the missing parts as things like Phantom/Reference have an affect on whether they are shown or not (and their children.)

Unfortunately, i cannot share files, because of company policy.

What do you mean in instance corruption?

I checked the bom structure, and it is good.

The missing components appeared when i export the bom 1 level below ( from subassembly), without any modification.

So the problem has to be somewhere else.

Hi! Open the top-level assembly and go to Manage -> Rebuild All. After that, does it work better then?

Many thanks!
