MAJOR ISSUES WITH iLOGIC DESIGN COPY INVENTOR 2026

Is anyone else having issues with iLogic Design Copy in Inventor 2026? For me, it does NOT update links for reference and subassemblies during the renaming process.

For example, when running a Design Copy for:

DRAWING_V01

- ASSM_V01

- SUBASSM_V01

Renaming to:

DRAWING_V02

- ASSM_V02

- SUBASSM_V02

When opening DRAWING_V02, the drawing shows a broken reference to ASSM_V01, instead of linking to ASSM_V02. This continues down the hierarchy to subassemblies and parts!

For me iLogic Design Copy in 2026 is not working!

This is internal issue INVGEN-84089. We have a fix for it and it should be available in an update soon. But for now, you can apply the workaround described here.
You only have to run the ApprenticeRegSvr command once, and that should fix the problem on your machine.

Thank you, @MjDeck . It looks like the update was finally issued. I strongly feel that Autodesk needs to prioritize stability and feature continuity with its annual product version updates. Too often (every time), a new version is released with core functionality issues. I am sure some will say, 'Just wait some time before updating.' Honestly, this should not be the responsibility of the customer to navigate. We pay thousands of dollars a year to Autodesk for professional-grade software. It should work out of the box. Period.

@chudniteskalivarna - this problem should have been fixed in Inventor 2026.1. Can you give more details about the behavior you're seeing? Can you upload a sample drawing or assembly?
