Inventor 2013 - pipe, sweep, adaptive

I have created a pipe that uses the sweep command and is adaptive... I have turned on adaptive. I insert the pipe into my assembly and constrain one side of the pipe and then I try to constrain the other side... to no avail! I figured if the path was adaptive, wouldn't this work?

Is the swept part adaptive in the assembly?

Making the swept part adaptive in the assembly should resolve your issue.

The part is adaptive in the assembly...

Not sure why I can not constrain the other end of the pipe axis...

What does the sketch look like on the sweep? Are there any dimensions?

No dimensions, only constraints.

I think I am missing something? Basically, I created a path with no dimensions and only constraints applied to the path, did not constraint the path to the origin. I created a plane at the end of the path (point), from there I created a profile (circle) with no dimensions. I made them both adaptive and sweep the profile...

Is the part used adaptively anywhere else? Try activating the part in place in your assembly, go to Tools\Document Settings\Modeling and see if this box is checked. if so, uncheck it and see if that helps.

That was not the case, but did like that info, as I did not know about the option. I am aware that if the part is used elsewhere that it will disable the adaptive feature unless you save-as given it another name.

Perhaps with Inventor 2013, you can not use the adaptive feature with the sweep?
